Green Adaptogen

This Green Adaptogen is a blend of Suma, Chlorella and Maca Root– three ancient foods that are used to support immune health, energy levels, stress response and overall wellbeing.

Suma, a Brazilian root known as “Para Todo” (translated as “for everything”), is often used to boost the immune system, offer stress relief and improve energy levels. A natural source of electrolytes, Suma was even used by Russian athletes in the 1970s. Suma root has also been shown to be a natural provider of saponins, which can help to regulate blood sugar and blood pressure, as well as abnormal cell growth. In addition, Suma root contains iron, magnesium, silica, cobalt, zinc, germanium and a plethora of vitamins (including A, B1, B2, B6, and E).

One of our favorite ingredients, Chlorella are nutrient-packed algae that contain 50% protein. Chlorella is also a natural source of antioxidants, calcium, potassium, folic acid, iron, vitamins (like B12 and C), fiber and omega-3s. Chlorella is reputed to provide healthy and gentle detox, as it binds to heavy metals. It may also boost the immune system and help fight disease, as well as improve digestion and maintain other health concerns.

Maca Root, a vegetable also known as Peruvian ginseng, provides a nutty and earthy flavor along with a number of nutrients. It’s a naturally rich source of vitamins B1, B2, B12, C and E, as well as calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and amino acids. Maca is known for the positive effects it may have on stamina and athletic performance, but it may also support age-related conditions, the immune system and hormonal balance.
